Welcome New Directors and Advisors

2020 has been a very active year for the Center, administratively-wise. We said goodbye to Directors Allan Comp, Ashe Laughline, and Betty Long. Allan was instrumental in helping StreamSweepers complete Upper Rappahannock comprehensive cleanup several years ago. Ashe also helped with StreamSweepers and worked with Staff on considerations related to a possible move to Rapidan Mill in 2018. Betty was a key figure in helping launch Rapidan Institute and the Center’s move in 2019 to Rapidan.

While these folks can never be replaced, the Board welcomes two new Directors – Chip Queitzsch and Mark Kington, both from Orange. Chip and Mark bring brand new skillsets to the Board, essential for execution of the Center’s emerging Strategic Planning work in 2021.

Also certainly worth noting are the renewed 3 year terms of our Chairman, Al Weed, and Director Steve Wooten. These men provide steady wisdom that has been a blessing during this most difficult year.

This year our incredible group of Advisors has expanded – adding three small business entrepreneurs from Charlottesville – Geoff Pitts, Mike Simpson, and Philip Stafford, along with inventor Lawrence Silverman.

ACP’s Executive Committee and Staff are grateful for the time and talents of these fine folks.
