StreamSweepers Train Friends of the Middle River on GPS-based Trash and Resilience Assessment
Earlier this week, StreamSweepers Senior Staff trained one of Virginia’s best watershed groups – Friends of the Middle River on their digital resilience assessment, including the locations of trash and junk in the river. A great group of volunteers is going to begin work in the next few weeks using the same protocol that has been used on hundreds of other river miles on Virginia’s rivers. This is community service in action – the Shenandoah Valley is blessed to have folks that would choose to spend their spare time on river work.
